In ERG mode for workouts there is a slight delay (est 5 seconds) in resistance adjustment for big power changes which isn't ideal for very short sprint intervals, however if you just stick to 20 second plus intervals, or do longer intervals with ERG off then it isn't a problem (I do sprint training with ERG off, I think it works better anyway), I think all trainers struggle with short sprints in ERG mode. This was good. If I’m going to spend that kind of money I’d rather do it on a quieter trainer that has bang-on snap-to ERG mode changes. The instruction manual text is a bit confusing, I think some of the meaning has been lost in translation from Italian to English, but the pictures make it relatively clear.
